Kar Soon holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Warwick. Kar Soon began his legal career with a tier-one corporate law firm in Malaysia where he gained solid training in high-value corporate and commercial work. He has been actively involved in a broad range of corporate transactions, giving him both the technical skills and commercial perspective to advise clients across different industries.
Kar Soon has advised on cross-border and domestic matters involving multinational corporations, listed companies, individuals, family offices, and private companies. His work includes share and asset acquisitions and disposals, divestments, real estate transactions, regulatory and compliance advisory, joint ventures, initial public offerings (IPOs), securities offerings, and other corporate exercises.
Over time, he has developed a reputation for being solutions-oriented, and commercially pragmatic in his advice. Kar Soon’s professionalism and responsiveness have earned him the trust of corporate and individual clients. His professionalism has also been recognised in publications such as IFLR and Asialaw.

Outside of work, he is a keen marathoner who enjoys long-distance running in his free time.
